Privacy Policy

1. Information Stored on Your Device

ShotPath stores your training information locally on your iPhone.

Depending on the features you use, locally stored information may include:

• Drill records
• Shot timing and split timing
• Draw times
• Drill results
• Target photos
• Notes
• Calibration information
• Personal Records
• Training history
• Other information you deliberately enter into the app

ShotPath does not automatically upload this information to Argos Holdings LLC or to TelemetryDeck.

Information may leave your device when you deliberately use an export or sharing feature provided by ShotPath. In that case, you control what is shared and where it is sent.

Deleting a saved drill or other record from ShotPath removes that record according to the app’s available deletion functions. Deleting the ShotPath app from your device will generally remove locally stored ShotPath data unless that information has previously been exported or otherwise backed up outside of ShotPath.

2. Anonymous Product Analytics

ShotPath uses TelemetryDeck to help us understand how the app is being used and where we can improve it.

During onboarding, ShotPath explains its anonymous analytics collection and provides a choice about whether to allow anonymous analytics. You can change this choice later through the Anonymous Analytics setting in ShotPath.

When anonymous analytics are enabled, ShotPath may send information such as:

• An anonymized identifier associated with the app installation
• Anonymous usage frequency based on recorded app activity
• Features and modes selected
• Live Fire versus Laser Fire usage
• Drill type selected
• Drills started, completed, and saved
• Calibration started, completed, or unsuccessful
• History feature usage
• Personal Records feature usage
• General history-count ranges
• Free usage-limit warnings and limit events
• Whether a target photo was attached, but never the photo itself
• ShotPath app version and build number
• iOS version
• General device model or type
• A timestamp rounded to the nearest hour

We use this information to understand overall product usage, identify features that are useful or confusing, improve reliability, evaluate the Free and Pro experience, and guide future development.

3. Information We Do Not Send Through Product Analytics

ShotPath's standard anonymous analytics do not include:

• Target photos
• Notes
• Raw or recorded audio
• Shot times
• Split times
• Draw times
• Drill scores
• Exact drill results
• Firearm information
• Ammunition information
• Names
• Email addresses
• Precise or approximate location
• User-entered text
• ShotPath account information
• Advertising identifiers
• Information used for cross-app or cross-website tracking

ShotPath does not use anonymous analytics for advertising, behavioral advertising, or tracking you across other companies' apps or websites.

4. TelemetryDeck

ShotPath uses TelemetryDeck, a third-party privacy-focused analytics service.

TelemetryDeck receives only the analytics events and metadata that ShotPath is configured to send.

TelemetryDeck assigns or processes an anonymized identifier associated with an app installation. ShotPath does not provide TelemetryDeck with your name, email address, ShotPath account identifier, or other direct personal identifier.

TelemetryDeck uses hashing and salting techniques intended to prevent the anonymized identifier from being reconstructed to identify an individual.

TelemetryDeck also states that IP addresses are not stored on its analytics servers.

TelemetryDeck may process:

• An anonymized installation identifier
• Events generated by use of ShotPath
• Hour-rounded timestamps
• Device and operating-system metadata
• App version and build information
• Additional anonymous metadata specifically configured by ShotPath as described in this Privacy Policy

TelemetryDeck provides its own privacy policy and documentation describing its privacy and anonymization practices.

5. Performance Data and Benchmarking

ShotPath version 1.0 does not collect performance data for analytics or benchmarking.

ShotPath does not currently upload information such as:

• Shot times
• Draw times
• Split times
• Drill completion times
• Drill scores
• Exact performance results

We may introduce an optional anonymous performance-sharing feature in a future version of ShotPath.

If introduced, that feature may allow users to voluntarily contribute anonymous performance statistics for aggregate comparisons such as medians, distributions, or percentile rankings.

Any such feature will:

• Be separately disclosed
• Be disabled by default
• Require the user to opt in
• Not publicly identify individual users
• Be covered by an updated version of this Privacy Policy before collection begins

Installing or using ShotPath version 1.0 does not enroll you in performance-data sharing.

6. Audio and Microphone Data

ShotPath uses your iPhone's microphone to detect live-fire shot events when you use Live Fire mode.

ShotPath analyzes microphone input as necessary to provide shot-detection functionality.

The public version of ShotPath does not use raw or recorded audio for analytics and does not transmit raw audio recordings to TelemetryDeck or Argos Holdings LLC.

Audio information used for shot detection remains part of the local operation of the app and is not included in anonymous product analytics.

7. Camera and Target Photos

ShotPath may use the iPhone camera for features including laser training and target-photo capture.

Target photos remain locally stored as part of your ShotPath records unless you deliberately export or share them.

ShotPath may anonymously record that a target photo was attached to a drill, but the image itself is never sent through product analytics.

Camera images used by ShotPath are not sent to TelemetryDeck.

8. Location

ShotPath does not collect or transmit your location.

ShotPath does not use location information to identify the shooting range, training facility, home, city, or other location where the app is being used.

9. Accounts and Personal Information

ShotPath version 1.0 does not require or provide user accounts.

The app does not collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Login credentials
• Mailing address
• Phone number
• Social-media identity

ShotPath does not sell personal information.

10. Advertising and Tracking

ShotPath does not:

• Display third-party behavioral advertising
• Sell user data
• Share data with data brokers
• Use advertising identifiers
• Track users across other companies' apps or websites
• Build advertising profiles
• Use collected analytics for targeted advertising

Anonymous product analytics are used only to understand and improve ShotPath.

11. Analytics Choices and Withdrawal

Anonymous product analytics are optional.

You may disable future analytics collection at any time from:

ShotPath → Settings → Anonymous Analytics

When anonymous analytics are disabled, ShotPath stops sending future product-analytics events to TelemetryDeck.

Disabling analytics does not affect ShotPath's core timing, training, history, target-photo, or other app functionality.

12. Previously Collected Anonymous Analytics

Previously collected TelemetryDeck analytics generally cannot be located or deleted for a specific individual.

TelemetryDeck anonymizes installation identifiers in a manner designed to prevent the original identifier from being reconstructed. ShotPath does not maintain a mapping between those anonymous analytics identifiers and an identifiable person.

As a result, Argos Holdings LLC generally cannot determine which previously collected anonymous analytics events belong to a particular person.

Disabling Anonymous Analytics therefore stops future collection but does not identify or remove previously collected anonymous events.

13. Data Retention

Information stored locally by ShotPath remains on your device until you delete the applicable records or remove the app, subject to any copies you independently create through exporting, sharing, or device backup mechanisms.

Anonymous analytics sent to TelemetryDeck are retained and processed according to TelemetryDeck's service configuration and retention practices.

TelemetryDeck may maintain analytics outside the active query-retention period in archived or cold storage. Because the analytics identifiers used by ShotPath are anonymized and cannot be connected by ShotPath to an identifiable person, we generally cannot selectively delete an individual user's previously collected analytics.

We retain access to aggregate anonymous analytics only as reasonably useful for product analysis, reliability monitoring, and improving ShotPath.

14. Third-Party Services

ShotPath version 1.0 uses TelemetryDeck for anonymous product analytics.

We require third-party services that receive information through ShotPath to provide privacy and security protections appropriate to the information they process.

ShotPath does not currently use third-party services within the app for:

• Advertising
• Cross-app tracking
• User accounts
• Cloud synchronization
• Push notifications
• Third-party crash reporting

If our use of third-party services materially changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and our App Store privacy disclosures as appropriate.

15. Security

We design ShotPath around data minimization.

Most shooting and training information remains locally on your device rather than being transmitted to a ShotPath server.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We use reasonable technical and organizational practices intended to limit the information collected and reduce unnecessary exposure of user information.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

ShotPath will continue to evolve.

We may update this Privacy Policy when:

• ShotPath adds new features
• Our data practices change
• New third-party services are introduced
• Anonymous performance benchmarking is introduced
• Legal or App Store requirements change

When we make material changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this policy and provide additional notice in the app when appropriate.

We will update this Privacy Policy before introducing the planned optional collection of anonymous performance statistics.
